Does your child have Strep Throat? Jean Brown Research is conducting a clinical research study in children ages 12-17 with strep throat to find out if the antibiotics being given have any effect on eyesight. Qualified individuals may receive no cost study related medication, study related care, and compensation for time and travel associated with the study. Children ages 12-17 must have Signs and symptoms characteristic of pharyngitis and tonsillitis (strep throat) include the following: a sore and scratchy throat, pain on swallowing (odynophagia),temperature, chills and/or fever.

Basic qualifications are:

  • 12-17 years old
  • Male or Female Healthy
  • Must currently have strep throat

Qualified Participants may receive:

  • Study related exam
  • No cost strep throat medication
  • Compensation for time and travel related to the study
